1993! What was going on with you?? Looking at the films that came out during the year, you had some awesome and iconic films. There could easily 20 movies that make this list. How the hell am I supposed to bring it down to 10?!? Honestly, this is the year of the man, legend and G.O.A.T, Steven Spielberg. Well, here we go. Once again, this is MY list and what I think are the best films.

Jurassic Park

Via: Universal Pictures

Jurassic Park is one of my all-time favorite movies. When people ask me, what is my favorite movie of all time, it is in my top 3. It is one of the films that I am extremely bias towards and defend no matter what. I LOVE JURASSIC PARK!! What can I say about Steven Spielberg, the man is an all-time genius in film! What he did with this film must be commended and it sure did age well.

Schindler’s List

Via: Universal Pictures

Schindler’s List is by far one of the best movies ever made. Steven Spielberg and his creative mind is an absolute genius. If there is a film to watch about the Holocaust and the evils that it was, then this movie is the one. Actually, Schindler’s List is by far one of the best movies ever made and major, major props need to be given to Spielberg.

The Fugitive

Via: Warner Bros

Yooooooooooooo!!!! I want to say that The Fugitive is one of the most entertaining and exciting movies that I honestly forgot about until I rewatched it. Damn was I on the edge of my seat. I couldn’t find one flaw with this movie. The acting by Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones was spot on. The cat and mouse game keeps you on the edge of your seat. It is just MUAH with greatness and I love it. I am so disappointed in myself that I forgot how good this movie was.

Groundhog Day

Via: Columbia Pictures

What would happen if you had to live the same day, over and over and over again? What if it is Groundhogs Day, that could be a nightmare. Bill Murray lived it in this funny film where he has to live the same day over. One of the best films of the year and instant classic that can be watched every Groundhog Day.

Mrs. Doubtfire

Via: 20th Century Fox

One of Robin Williams’ finest performances. Mrs. Doubtfire still has many laughs in it. Some people will do anything for their kids. In this film, a recently divorced actor dresses up as a female housekeeper to be able to interact with his children. There are so many funny scenes from the pie in the face, to lighting your top on fire to throwing a lemon at a dude’s head.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Via: Buena Vista Pictures

The movie that has started fights around the holiday season. Some people say it’s a Halloween movie while others say it is a Christmas movie. Whatever your thought is, Jack Skellington has become an icon. Why? Because he is the Pumpkin King!!! Also, how can you not love some of the songs in this film. Some of the best songs from Oogie Boogie to the three creepy ass kids. Great holiday movie right here.

Demolition Man

Via: Warner Bros

This might be a surprise, but this was a great film in 1993. Hear me out. First you have Stallone doing his thing as a cop who was cryogenically froze and had to get unfrozen in the future. Then you have Snipes as the crazy, entertaining, ass-kicking Simon Phoenix who is brought back to cause chaos. It’s set in the future where Taco Bell is a high-class restaurant, no cussing is allowed, and sex is banned. Trust me, you will enjoy this film.

The Sandlot

Via: 20th Century Fox

Even though I am not a huge baseball fan, I gotta add the Sandlot in this list. Baseball was the game that brought all the characters together, but it is an iconic film. It has some great scenes and lines. Also, who in their right mind would play baseball with a signed Babe Ruth baseball. I would’ve had my ass whipped, if I ever did that.

Tombstone

Via: Buena Vista Pictures

This is the film where I thought Wyatt Earp was the baddest muthasucka around. Dude and his brothers roll up into town and have the legendary gunfight at the O.K. Corral. Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday was fantastic. The slap Wyatt gives to this one dude is all time great.

Gettysburg

Via: New Line Cinema

Since this is my list, I have to go with Gettysburg. I watched this film in 8th grade and it stuck with me. I am a big time history buff and this is one of my favorite Civil War films. The film is long as hell, but it speaks on one of the most decisive battles that turned the tide in the Civil War.
