1997 was the year James Cameron became KING OF THE WORLD with the box office all time record. We also saw Jack Nicholson look around and still saw that he was the coolest person still in the room. We also saw who protects the world against aliens. Years later, Nic Cage became a meme, the world was at war with bugs and porn became popular from Mr. Good Vibrations himself.

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery

Via: New Line Cinema

One of the best spy comedies that have come out. How can you not put Austin Powers in the list? It might haven’t age to well, but Mike Myers sure did make two characters iconic. You have the British spy, Austin Powers and his archenemy, Dr. Evil. Dr. Evil is just a man who wants $1 million dollars and sharks with laser beams on their heads. In the words of Austin Power, “Yea Baby, Yea!”

The Fifth Element

Via: Gaumont Buena Vista International

The Fifth Element is one of those sci-fi films that has some Blade Runner aspects, loads of action and a pretty simple story. If you want to see some crazy acting by Chris Tucker, then look no further because dude had a blonde wig on. Honestly, if you are looking for a live action story that has some Captain Planet in it, then this is the film. Find that Multi-Pass!!

Con Air

Via: Buena Vista Pictures Distribution

The film that created a meme with Nick Cage hair blowing in the wind. Con Air is one of those films you will either love it or hate it. John Malkovich is crazy as the main villain, but it is by far entertaining. When a man who hands are considered lethal goes to prison and on the day, he is about to get out, his plane is hijacked by the prisoners on it. What more could you want?

Men in Black

Via: Sony Pictures Releasing

Here comes the Men in Black! Galaxy Defenders. Back when July 4th weekend was dubbed “Big Willie Weekend.” Will Smith was a giant and Men in Black was a hit. Starring alongside stone faced Tommy Lee Jones, the pair saved the world from intergalactic threats while keeping alien species under wraps. It was all about the noisy cricket and the Neuralyzer.

Starship Troopers

Via: Sony Pictures Releasing

You must squash the bug! You must kill the bug! We get you Rico! Starship Troopers is a crazy military science fiction action film that follows a young solider named Johnny Rico starred by the one and only Casper Van Dien. If you need over the top special effects, a giant killing machine insectoid species known as Arachnids and war scenes, then this movie has it. It also has a young Dina Meyer and Denise Richards.

Titanic

Via: Paramount Pictures

As one of the highest-ranking films of all-time, this film must make it on the list. James Cameron’s epic film, that was nominated for 14 Academy Awards and won 11 of them with Best Picture and Best Director. A film that made the phrase “King of the World” famous. Also, you get a young Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet before they became mega-stars.

Air Force One

Via: Sony Pictures Releasing

When Harrison Ford is President of the United States, things go down when a group of terrorists, led by Gary Oldman, hijack Air Force One. This movie right here is fun to watch and I forgot how good it was. One should watch it because Ford goes all out in taking out the terrorists one by one.

Liar Liar

Via: Universal Pictures

Jim Carrey is one of the best comedians of all time. In this film, karma bit him in his ass. Carrey plays a lawyer who is a pathological liar. After missing his son’s birthday party for some booty, his son wishes that he can only speak the truth for a full day. The day is crazy as he tells the truth on everything and the consequences are quite funny.

Boogie Nights

Via: New Line Cinema

Sex sells. Let’s be real, it does and porn is at the forefront of it. Porn is a $13 billion dollar industry and it will continue to grow. Boogie Nights is a film that is set in the Golden Age of Porn. Starring Mark Wahlberg, Bert Reynolds, Julianne Moore and many others, it brings to life Dirk Diggler. His rise to the top and then ultimate fall and back again. It is a great movie.

As Good as It Gets

Via: Sony Pictures Releasing

I have to put this on because it is funny to see Jack Nicholson as a cranky man who hates everyone. He has major OCD and loves his waitress. Through everything, the film shows growth and understanding. Seeing Nicholson talk down to everyone is A-game material and that is why he is one of the best actors in the game.
