Today’s entry comes from the crime action film, Dick Tracy.
From the clip provided by Buena Vista Pictures comes a gangster type slap that will make you turn away slightly in disappointment. We call this the “Turn them into Pretzels” Slap.
Dick Tracy is a film based off on the 1930s comic strip and has one of the best ensemble casts known in film history. This film has everyone. The film is a battle of Dick Tracy, the city’s best and toughest detective and his quest to bring down crime boss Alphonse “Big Boy” Caprice and all his goons. The film is fun and entertaining with awesome make-up, outfits and gun battles.
The slap was second rate compared to everything that happened before it. Big Boy is working his girls and the beautiful Breathless Mahony to the ground. Watching Big Boy try to kick up his leg and sing is hilarious. Not impressed with the training, he snaps and hurts the piano player. Breathless tells him off a little and he gives her a quick slap on the cheek. It was quick and fast but it stung enough for Breathless to have a single tear come from her eye. Not the greatest slap I’ve see but it did its job.
