Batman has a ton of villains that he faces off against. The number of villains that Batman has to fight against is crazy. Damn Gotham, how many crazy people you have in your city? We all know his pride and joy villain is the Joker. He straight up has the top spot on that list. Out of all his villains, let’s talk about one that has gained major popularity in her different versions. That villain is the one and only Dr. Pamela Lillian Isley or as the world knows her as Poison Ivy.
This version of Poison Ivy will be from the awful movie Batman & Robin, but all Poison Ivy characters have the same abilities and somewhat looks. In this version of Poison Ivy, she starts off as a botanist for Wayne Enterprise while working in a lab in Brazil with the lunatic Dr. Jason Woodrue. Dr. Pamela is a total nerd with dirty blonde hair, wears thick, nerdy glasses and unattractive. She has potential and if she got a make-over she would look FOINE. When Dr. Woodrue catches her snooping and proceeds to a shelf full of deadly toxins on her, Isley is mutated from a nerd to a total sex idol. She takes the name Poison Ivy, and her hair goes from dirty red to bright red. I’m talking bright red. She has a glow-up like no other and she is FOINE. She walks around wearing a green outfit with plants around her body.
As Poison Ivy, she is way more of a sexually provocative seductress. Gone is the sweet Pamela, who wants to help people and help the plants. She has zero issues with killing people. She seems to love doing it with her favorite way is with a kiss. She becomes very self-centered and shallow as she always takes pleasure in her attention and the attention it brings her. This is probably from being rejected countless times before she had her makeover. Finally, she loves plants and cares deeply for them. When she transforms, her love for plants becomes stronger and believes that mankind is a problem and wants to eradicate the species from the world.
This version of Poison Ivy becomes a metahuman. She is a half plant/half human hybrid. With her abilities, she gains the ability to control plants. The film shows very little of her controlling plants but her most prominent ability and feature is her lips. They are laced with a deadly poison and anything they touch eventually dies. She is a kissing fool in this film. She also has the ability to extract pheromones from plants. Her go to weapon is her “love-dust.” She blows that shit all over the place and men fall head over heels for her.
This version of Poison Ivy, played by the beautiful Uma Thurman, is all over the place. She is entertaining and drop dead gorgeous. If only she showed her abilities more of using plants. No matter, she is still as deadly as ever and one that you should kiss. Beware of this beauty or you will be plant food and nutrients for the earth.
