Of all the lessons you can take from the Godfather series, the major one is to never, ever, ever go against the family. You have to be out of your mind to go against the family. When Michael becomes the new Godfather, he goes to Vegas to meet his brother, Fredo and Mo Greene. Mo Greene gets an attitude with Michael after trying to buy him out and Fredo sides with Mo. Michael in the calmest of voices drops this line. Michael is all business and will put family first.

This was one of the quotes that hit hard for me and in this movie. “Say hello to my little friend” will always be the top quote from this film. This quote/monologue right set the tone for Tony’s downfall. Tony is a bad guy, and he is the example used by society to say no to drugs, he is not like us and keep people from doing harm. You know what, he is right. We see it on TV, but the dude is the perfect rags to riches example that we all want to be. Maybe not the cocaine part.

Frank Costello was a bad ass man and the opening to The Departed explained his thoughts on the world and life. This quote hits hard as he stated that no matter where he is from or raised, he will not be a product of that part of the world. He wants to control everything around him and wants to leave his own impact on those around him. This is what we call a boss mindset.
