Welcome back to the series that keeps on giving. I know y’all love you some movie quotes. You dream about them at night and can’t wait to recite them when you have the chance. Well, I have some great quotes that I know for sure you might have said to someone. The first one might be a sure thing, but the second one might have woken you up from your dream. The third one probably made you nod your head in approval as it is so thought provoking.
“You Shall Not Pass!” – Gandalf, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
Probably one of the most iconic scenes and lines from the first movie of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. When the fellowship is going through the Mines of Moria, they run into a Balrog. Shit gets real really quick. Gandalf faces off against the ancient beast. He drops this line on a tiny ass bridge. The quote became iconic and a meme. Fail a test, drop a Gandalf on them. Trying to get through traffic, drop a Gandalf on them. This is one of the best movie quotes ever.
“The first rule of Fight Club is you don’t talk about Fight Club.” – Tyler Durden, Fight Club (1999)
Did you hear about Fight Club? Are you going to Fight Club? You have broken the first rule of Fight Club. Tyler Durden, played by Brad Pitt, lay out the rules for the club. Pitt delivers this line with such coolness and nonchalant. As he gives the rules, you see people prepare for their fights. Even though this is the first rule, people violate it quite a bit.
“The hardest choices require the strongest wills.” – Thanos, Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
Let’s be real, when Thanos said this quote, you probably sympathized with him. Thanos had a great reason for what he was doing by trying to save the universe or everything but he went at it the wrong way. When he dropped this quote, the titan lord was dropping some true knowledge on everyone. Things come easy to some of us and sometimes it is not always right. The hardest choices in life are the things that are the most difficult at times.
