When you think of the most evil, diabolical female villain in movie history, the Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard of Oz played by Margaret Hamilton. AFI ranked the Wicked Witch of the West #4 on the all-time villains list and ranked her as the number 1 female villain. Homegirl is scary and freaky and her all-time classic line still gives the world chills: “I’ll get you, my pretty! And your little dog too!”
The Wicked Witch of the West reputation is known throughout the land as the evilest and most malevolent witch. Rocking that green skin, she rules over the Winkie Country. Life was good until Dorothy “killed” her equally evil sister, the Wicked Witch of the East. This set the Wicked Witch of the West on a vengeance tour against Dorothy and to get the Ruby Slippers that her sister once wore.
The Wicked Witch of the West has ZERO problems with getting what she wants. She is prone to send her lackeys, Nikko, the Flying Monkeys and the Winkie Guards after Dorothy and her crew. When she really wants to put fear in everyone, she will ride on her broomstick. Don’t get her started on torturing people. If you are made of straw, she will have no issue throwing a fireball at you.
The Wicked Witch of the West is a person you will not want to run into on your trip to OZ. If you need to see the backstory of this evil character, I suggest you watch the play, “Wicked.” Also, leave your little dogs at home because she will get it also.
