Today’s entry comes from the dark fantasy anime, The Promised Neverland.
We didn’t get one but TWO slaps from this anime. From the clip provided by CloverWorks comes two slaps where one will make you go, you got slapped up and the other is nice to see you. We call this the “Do You Want to Die” Slap and the “Nice to See You Again” Slap.
The Promised Neverland is set in the year 2045, and over 1000 years after an agreement called “The Promise” was made to end a long war between humans and demons. In the demon world, human farms are set up where a human “Mother” oversees the children before being fed to the demons. Emma, Norman and Ray live at one of the farms called Grace Field House. They soon learn that they are not free and are to be fed. They decided to escape the demon world and find freedom in the human world.
Slap #1: The “Do You Want to Die” Slap
This is a slap of perfection. Emma slaps the shit out of Ray. When Ray talks about dying, Emma delivers a slap that should’ve knocked him on his ass. Emma put her whole body behind her slap. I’m talking about full hip rotation and extension of the arm. I applaud you Emma for this slap.

Slap #2: The “Nice to See You Again” Slap
The slap at hand is one that is more of a love tap than anything else. Did it look like it stung? Yes. Ray really didn’t put anything behind his slap. He just wanted Norman to know that he missed him.
