Today’s entry comes from the epic historical drama film, Spartacus.
From the clip provided by Universal International comes a wild slap that will make you laugh but also go, what is up with this fool. We call this the “You Must Answer When I Speak to You” Slap.
Spartacus is a film starring Kirk Douglas. The film revolves around the life story of Spartacus. Spartacus was the leader of a slave revolt in antiquity or the Roman republic during the Third Servile War. Spartacus started off as a slave who was turned into a gladiator only to get tired of his masters and lead a revolt against the small but soon to be mighty Roman Empire.
This is a wild slap because Crassus is a man who just defeated Spartacus and his army. He has everything you ever want in wealthy and power but he doesn’t have the love of Spartacus’s woman. Crassus has finally captured Spartacus but doesn’t know what he looks like when they come face to face. The scene is intense as Spartacus gives the “zero fucks given” look. Crassus not liking it does an “Answer Me” slap
This is a repulsive slap because who slaps a man in his 80s and has little concept of where he is at. My grandma has this disease and I would never slap her. Homeboy needed to get jacked up. The slaps were just enough to give a sting and cause distress to the old man. It’s wild and floppy and the man throws his shoulders back, does a yell that is strange and then delivers the slap. It’s okay because it gets a reaction, but we have seen better.
