This one is dedicated to the 1987 version of Skeletor from Masters of the Universe. Even though the movie was straight up trash, Skeletor was the best and personification of evil. He is a skeletal sorcerer, often referred to as the “Evil Lord of Destruction”, who seeks to conquer the planet Eternia and the entire universe. To accomplish his goal, he always aims to conquering Castle Grayskull and acquire its magic. Played by Frank Langella, this version of the character was far darker and more menacing than his comical animated counterpart. Rather than seeming like a clueless character, this version was far more cunning, competent and threatening to He-Man and his allies. All knell before the Master of the Universe.

The 1987 version of Skeletor is dressed in a more regal attire than traditional incarnations. This version was a far more fearsome and terrifying look for the evil sorcerer. This version was cladded in all black with a black cloak and robe that covers his entire body. His white skeleton face illuminates against the blackness of his clothes. Skeletor also walks with a golden staff with a ram type head figure on the top. When Skeletor gains the powers of the universe, his appearance changes to being cladded in all gold with a helmet that has all types of horns.

How would you describe Skeletor’s personality? He is devoid of morality, power-hungry, short-tempered, manipulative, opportunistic, ambitious self-centered, and deceitful. Anything that makes an evil person, Skeletor is it and you probably need to multiply it by 100. Skeletor has a twisted but cunning mind while trying to defeat He-Man. He doesn’t accept failure and will destroy anyone that fails him to make a point to the others. He only craves power and being the most powerful being in the known universe.

Skeletor is by far one of the best aspects of the Masters of the Universe film. He is the only reason you watch the film. He has no time for failure and he rolls up anywhere like a freaking boss! He has one of the best speeches in the whole film! Give it up for Skeletor and knell before him.
