The award season has officially made its way to the award show to end all award shows: the Oscars. The Oscars are one of those awards shows I feel that you don’t need to see all the nominated films to be excited about watching it. With this years Oscars, like so many before it, there were so many great movies and actors/actresses that could have been nominated, but a last it was narrowed down to a select few.
Ahead of the Academy Awards this weekend Aulton and myself will make our final predictions of should win and who will win this year’s Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress.

Aulton:
Who should win: Parasite! One of the best foreign films and movies of the year
Who will win: It’s a toss-up between the Irishman and 1917. I am going with 1917 because it is a war movie and it isn’t that long unlike the Irishman.
Eva:
Who should win: 1917
Who will win: 1917. Like Aulton mentioned it’s a war film and over the last few weeks it has become the clear front runner.

Aulton:
Who should win: Renee Zellweger. She seems like the strongest one to pull off the win

Who will win: Renee Zellweger. Any time anyone must transform themselves for a role 9 out of 10 times they end up winning the Oscar. I feel like this makes up for her not winning for Chicago.

Aulton:
Who should win: Joaquin Phoenix. Hands down one of the greatest performances.
Who will win: Joaquin Phoenix
Eva:
Who should win: Joaquin Phoenix. This was one of the best performances of the year. The way he transformed himself and became the Joker was just phenomenal.
Who will win: Joaquin Phoenix. Just the Joker laugh alone deserves the award.
Best Supporting Actor
Tom Hanks: A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood
Anthony Hopkins: The Two Popes
Al Pacino: Irishman
Joe Pesci: The Irishman
Brad Pitt: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
Aulton:
Who should win: I would go with either Tom Hanks for A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood or Al Pacino for The Irishman
Who will win: Brad Pitt for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Will probably get that long awaited statue just like Leo did. Only thing, he didn’t really speak much or do anything. Give the dog the award!
Eva:
Who should win: Al Pacino. He was great as Jimmy Hoffa in Irishman
Who will win: Brad Pitt. Just like Leonardo DiCaprio this is long over due and he should get his first Oscar in an acting category.
