The Mugen Train Arc begins after the events of the first season. Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Nezuko get orders to board the Infinity Train to assist the Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku. Their mission is to infiltrate the train and eliminate the demon that has been causing trouble, identified as Enmu, the Lower Rank One. The mission’s second part is to ensure that none of the 200 passengers are killed. After the crew handles several of the Emu’s underlings, the group soon learns that the demon’s spirit is the train itself. As Tanjiro continues to learn and train, he soon feels that the secret of the Hikonami Kagura and Flame Breathing will give him a new mighty power.

The Entertainment Arc picks up four months after the Mugen Train Arc. Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Nezuko are recruited by the Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui. Their new mission is to infiltrate the famed Yoshiwara red-light district, where demons are said to reside. The crew soon learns that the district has been terrorized by an Upper-Rank Demon. With a demon of that level, the group will face a task that no one has achieved in over a hundred years: killing an Upper-Rank Demon.

Okay, I don’t know about you, but this anime keeps improving. Actually, it gets more epic and outstanding with every single season. This is one of the best anime series around from story, action, animation, and characters. This is one of the best, and I dare anyone to say anything otherwise.

We are actually going to talk about two arcs: The Mugen Train and Entertainment Arcs. The Mugen Train arc was AWESOME. It took a while to get going, but once the Flame Hashira, Rengoku, stepped into action, the shit got real, and things went into overdrive. The story was enjoyable as it seemed this one train was eating people. Tanjiro and his crew go investigate it with Rengoku. This arc was focused on Rengoku and his past. You see, that homeboy had a loving life until his mom passed away. You saw his father being a drunk and an asshole.

Yet, through the hardship, Rengoku was always happy and smiled while saying TASTY. This anime gets going when Tanjiro, his crew, and Rengoku get on the train and sense a high-level demon. The battle with the Lower One demon was cool as it controlled the train and put everyone to sleep. YET, the BEST and most exciting part of the anime was the fight between Rengoku and Upper-Rank Three, Akaza. That fight was INSANE, and watching Rengoku go all out was amazing but heartbreaking. You get some feels in this arc. You might even cry.

The Entertainment Arc deals with Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui. Tengen recruits Tanjiro and his crew to find his three wives in the Entertainment District as they have gone missing. This arc was funny as Tanjiro, and everyone had to cross-dress and pose as women. Some had zero looks. Honestly, I was a little annoyed by Tengen because everything needed to be flashy, and he just seemed weak. I really didn’t know what to make of this arc.

When the main demons came out against Upper-Rank Six, Gyutaro, and his sister, Daki, the anime said sit yo ass down because it is about to get real. As Kevin Hart said in his special, “It’s about to go down.” IT WENT DOWN!! The fight between everyone had me on the edge of my seat, and I was beyond invested. The fighting gave me chills because of how amazing it was to watch. This anime held absolutely NOTHING back. It had intensity, thrills, violence, shit blowing up EVERYWHERE, limbs getting cut off, people you thought were dead coming back, and everyone stepping up at the last possible moment. The whole ending fight was perfection. Listen, I don’t say things are perfect, BUT the final battle where everyone lays it on the line was PERFECT!

Also, Nezuko was whipping some MAJOR ass in the Entertainment Arc. When she went up against Daki, you thought she was done when she went into full demon mode. First off, Nezuko looks good in full demon mode. Secondly, homegirl regenerative powers are off the charts, and she straight up obliterates Daki. She made homegirl look like a low-class demon.

Let’s get to my homeboy and favorite characters, Zenitsu and Inosuke. Zenitsu showed the fuck up and went ham in this anime. Even though his true powers come when he is asleep, homeboy and his Thunder breath go freakin ham. Inosuke also went hard in this anime. I love his personality. Dude always says that in the mountains, this is nothing. When he got stabbed, I was about to throw my TV, but when he came back, I had to applaud.

I want to give a standing ovation to the animation of this series. I would say it is top-notch, but that is an understatement. It is one of the best I have ever seen, and it seems to get better each season. The colors that are used are outstanding. The effects of when people use their breathing techniques are superb. It just flows with the anime and makes your eyes explode with colors. Simply PERFECTION!

Season 2 of Demon Slayer took the first season to a whole new level. The story, animation, and fighting scenes are some of the best, and you should watch the series. You will fall in love with many of the characters. You will also be on the edge of your seat because it is that good. DON’T TALK, JUST WATCH!!
