Here we go again with some great movie quotes. This time around I want to focus again on some famous gangster quotes. There is nothing like a good gangster quote. They are usually straight and to the point. Let’s see if you can recite some of these beauties.
“It’s Not Personal, Sonny… It’s Business.” Michael Corleone, The Godfather (1972)
Popularized by Michael Corleone, when he is speaking to his brother about killing two people who tried to kill his father. This quote needs to be the quote when you are in the business world. We get caught up in our feelings when we are doing business and take it personally. Michael let us know that when business is involved, we shouldn’t take it personally.
“I want you to get this fuck where he breathes! I want you to find this nancy-boy Eliot Ness, I want him DEAD! I want his family DEAD! I want his house burned to the GROUND! I wanna go there in the middle of the night and I wanna PISS ON HIS ASHES!” – Al Capone, The Untouchables (1987)
Al Capone was the boss of bosses in the mafia world. He controlled Chi-Town with an iron fist. In the film, The Untouchables, he did everything he could to outsmart the police from finding his shipment. When one of his shipments is located, De Niro made sure to show how pissed the famous gangster was. By far one of the best and most overacted scenes in a gangster film. It had it all: the finger point, the over emphasis of the last word in the sentence, the anger and best of all the hand movements because he is so piss.

If you know me, I love a good Denzel Washington film. He drops a lot of great quoters in his films. In American Gangster, he plays real-life drug kingpin Frank Lucas who raided Harlem with his product aka Blue Magic. The line that he dropped was spoken by Lucas when he was talking to his brothers and giving his vision on what he wants. The scene is telling as Lucas knows the game and how society works and how is willing to do everything to be somebody.
