“You’re Gonna Need a Bigger Boat”Martin Brody, Jaws (1975)

Via: Universal Pictures

Jaws was the movie that started it all for the summer box office. Directed my favorite director, Steven Spielberg, the film is about a Great White Shark that comes to a small town and starts eating people. The film is phenomenal and that musical score is great. The scene is when Brody is throwing out chum and complaining on the boat. Out of no where the shark appears and we get the first real and terrifying look of the shark. Brody slowly walks back and drops the famous line and their little boat wont be able to hand with the shark. Pure terror.

Who is one of, if not the best spy in movie history? That has to be the one and only Bond. James Bond. The character has one best introductions in movie history. Made famous by the one and legendary Sean Connery in Dr. No, few actors have played the famous spy. When you need a character that has an iconic catchphrase, look no further this MI6 best agent. Damn, who doesn’t want to say this line and I wonder who will play the famous spy next.

“All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain… Time to die.” – Roy Batty, Blade Runner (1982)

Via: Warner Bros

There have been many monologues in film, but this one has stood the test of time. What type of monologue would you give as you approach death? The one delivered by Roy Batty was iconic. In the film, Deckard is ordered to track down replicants and kill them. When he finally catches up to Roy at the end of the film, the tables turn on Deckard. Roy gives this iconic speech reflecting on the experiences he went through and what mortality means. For a 42-word monologue, it was powerful especially the “like tears in rain.” Bravo!
