Here we go again with more classic movie quotes. I am really liking this series. This time around, we wonder what is in a certain box, why you shouldn’t get attached when the police are on your ass and why Chinatown is a place you don’t want to be.
“What was in the box?!” – David Mills, Seven (1995)
One of the most intense moments in film. When Mills and Sommerset take John Doe out to a place where he states are the last two bodies for his epic Deadly Sins murder spree, we learn the terrifying truth of one of the victims. When a box is delivered, Sommerset sees it and a look of terror falls upon him. The intensity and curiosity are high in this scene. When Doe calmly states what he did, Mills screams the epic line over and over. Must give Pitt and everyone else in this scene major credit because it will leave you with your mouth on the ground.
“Don’t let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner.” – Neil McCauley, Heat (1995)
Heat is a crime film between LAPD detective Vincent Hanna played by the awesome Al Pacino and expert thief Neil McCauley played by the great Robert De Niro. The film is an intense cat and mouse game. Besides the bank shoot out scene, the scene where Hanna and McCauley speak in a café is great. McCauley drops this line when speaking. Dude was speaking FACTS when he dropped this line.
“Forget it Jake, it’s Chinatown.” – Chinatown (1974)
Chinatown is one of the greatest films ever made. You really need to watch the movie. It was inspired by the California water wars. There is some crazy stuff that went on and the ending with some twists and revelations will hit you hard. The quote above was spoken and like today, people shrug their shoulders and movie on.
