Oh, has this movie graced us with two slaps where one will make you laugh and the other will make you go, “yep, shouldn’t have opened up your mouth.” I present to you the “Shut Up, You’re Weak” Slap and the “Ungrateful Little Brat” Slap
American Beauty is a film about an advertising executive who has a midlife crisis. From his midlife crisis, he decides not to be a loser anymore and starts doing the things he thinks are cool. He soon becomes infatuated with his daughter teenage friend while smoking pot. It is a crazy movie to watch.
Slap #1: The “Shut Up, You’re Weak” Slap
Carolyn fails at selling a house or even making an impression. She closes the blinds and has a major melt down. She slaps herself repeatedly as she calls herself weak. Now self-inflicting slaps do count, and he let herself have it. There was some force behind all those slaps to herself. Gotta get your mind right.

Slap #2: The “Ungrateful Little Brat” Slap
Now this slap right here is something else. After an argument, Carolyn starts complaining to her daughter, Jane. After venting, Jane said she is not into the Kodak moment which doesn’t sit well with Carolyn who delivers a quick but forceful slap. Jane sure as hell didn’t see that one coming. Came from homegirl’s blind spot. It was so fast and beautiful.
