From the clip provided by TriStar Pictures and Movieclips comes a you gonna learn today type slap! Trip is disgusted with the world and how he is viewed. He is about to fight Thomas when Rawlins comes over and stops them. Trip berates Rawlins, until Rawlins slaps him and gives him an ear full.
This is the type of slap your grandpa would give you for not paying attention or not following instructions. Not only did Rawlins grab coat, he also delivered a mighty back hand. A back hand that meant business. What was perfect about it was Trip’s reaction. The realization that he has been slapped and then chewed out. We call that the, “You Gonna Learn Today” Slap!
