Today’s excellent entry comes from the all time classic, Gone with the Wind.
From the clip provided by Loew’s Inc. and Movieclips comes not one but two slaps. They both come from the lovely main character Scarlett. She was a slapping person in this film. In both scenes, Scarlett doesn’t get her way and she just starts slapping.
Slap #1: “I Hate You but Love You” Slap
The first slap is when Scarlett and Ashley talk. Scarlett professes her love to Ashley. Ashley states that he loves Melanie. Scarlett goes into this tantrum and when Ashley tries to explain. Scarlett gives him that “I Hate You but Love You” Slap. Not the strongest or most elegant slap but it served its purpose. The execution was perfect. She brought her hand up to shoulder height and had full extensions of her arm and wrist. Not a bad slap.

Slap #1: “You a Coward” Slap
The second slap is when Scarlett and Rhett talk. Rhett just saved Scarlett from the burning of Atlanta. As they stop, Rhett says he is going to join the army. He professes his love for Scarlett and they kiss. Scarlett upset that Rhett is going off to war, Slaps him and calls him a coward. Now this slap isn’t as great as the first one. It’s was one of those short and quick slaps. Had a nice wrist movement but nothing too spectacular.
