Today’s entry comes from the British epic historical film, Lawrence of Arabia
From the clip provided by Columbia Pictures comes a slap that was out of nowhere. We call this the “Outrageous” Slap.
Lawrence of Arabia is a film that follows the life of T. E. Lawrence and his time during World War I. During World War I, Lawrence is sent to assess the prospects of Prince Faisal in his revolt against the Turks. Lawrence helps the Prince and his allies take over prominent places, especially Damascus.
After the battle while many people are in a hospital. Lawrence comes and tries to help only to find no water. A military man drives up and starts yelling outrageous at what he has seen. He sees Lawrence, who is dressed in his robes and laughing. He gives him a slap that drops Lawrence, but Lawrence just laughs at it. When a person has time to laugh, then it’s not an effective slap. Yet, the arm extension is point and he had some major hip and shoulder movement.
