Today’s intense entry comes from the thriller, Se7en.
From the clip provided by New Line Cinema and Movieclips comes an old school type of slap.
Se7en is a film based off of the Seven Deadly Sins and a serial killer. It is a pretty intense film with everything coming ahead at the end of the film. John Doe is talking his talk to Mills and Somerset after dropping the bomb on “what’s in the box?” As Somerset is trying to calm Mills down from being antagonized by John Doe, Somerset delivers that old school granddaddy type slap. We call this slap The “Execution” Slap.
Freeman straight up, backhands the mess out of Spacey. Spacey is on his knees and running his mouth. Freeman comes all the way up to his ear and slaps the man with such force and speed that Spacey’s head whips to the side. It’s work of art. Know why this is a High QUALITY slap? The simple after effect of it. When a person has to rub and shake out their hand from backhanding you, you definitely got a good slap in.
