Today’s intense entry comes from the military movie, The Bridge on the River Kwai.
From the clip provided by Columbia Pictures and Movieclips comes a discipline type of slap.
The Bridge on the River Kwai is a film based on British POWs who must help with building a bridge for the Japanese Army. Colonel Saito of the Japanese army is giving his orders to the new British prisoners. He states that everyone and even military officers must work to build the bridge. Newly arrived prisoner, Lieutenant Colonel Nicholson doesnt like this and tries to reason with Saito. He even shows Saito a copy of the Geneva Conventions, stating that officers shouldn’t work. Annoyed, Saito takes to book and gives Nicholson what we call the “Respect My Authority” Slap.
Saito straight up, backhands Nicholson with the back of a book. Even made the man bleed from his nose. That must’ve been a hard slap. The reaction is priceless as Nicholson company gave the “Awww Hell Naw” look. I will give it to Nicholson because he kept his composure.
Slap rating is 4 out of 5
