Lucky #13 for the awful horror movies series. Oh, do I have some special movies for you in this series that keeps on giving. Who would’ve thought we would get up to the thirteenth entry in this series? Well, if there is one genre that has awful movies, then it is the horror movie genre. Strap in for some head scratching scares.
A Haunted House (2013)
A Haunted House is a trash film. I can’t believe I wasted an hour and a half of my life watching this terrible film. It was a LONG hour and a half because the film was not funny or entertaining at all. There are some films in the world that shouldn’t be made, and this was one of them. Everything in this film is cringe and the jokes are so dull that they make zero sense nor is funny. Don’t waste your time with this film.
The Eye (2008)
During the late 2000s, Hollywood went through a ton of Japanese horror remakes. It seemed like none of them were any good. One of those remakes was The Eye starring Jessica Alba. Alba played a violinist named Sydney Wells who was blinded when she was young and later on received a cornea transplantation. After the operation, she starts seeing dead people. The film is pretty awful as it provides few scares and a weak plot.
Flatliners (2017)
The original Flatliners was okay. It had its moments and was something new. The 2017 reboot should’ve stayed on the hospital bed and not been revived. This film flatlined before even getting off the ground. The film falls extremely flat as a horror movie. I don’t know what I watched but it was terrible. It was so bad that my heart stopped beating for a couple of seconds.
The Disappointments Room (2016)
The name of this film is what you will inside while watching it, extreme disappointment. A movie that stars the beautiful Kate Beckinsale, she should’ve skipped out on doing this film. In this film, a couple moves into a new house where there is a hidden room that has a dark past. This film has ZERO scares, doesn’t make you the least bit curious about what is going on and you would rather have an evil spirit come haunt you because it would be far more entertaining than this film.
A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)
Sometimes remakes stick the landing or bomb to the point where you don’t even know why they were made. The remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street falls flat. You might jump a few times, but it doesn’t have that scare factor you would like. The only decent thing about this film was Jackie Earle Haley performance as Freddy Krueger. Besides that, this version of Freddy will not haunt you in your dreams.
