Do we have some classic superhero films that will make you even more confused on what a good superhero film actually is? We have heroes that can somewhat fly. We have heroes that will disappear. We have heroes with superpowers. We have heroes that are not heroes and somehow got a movie. Welcome to more awful superhero films. Up to #5, that is pretty bad.
The Meteor Man (1993)
This pains me to put this on a bad list but I have to be honest and fair. I used to watch The Meteor Man a ton when I was a kid while visiting my grandparents place. Staring Robert Townsend as a schoolteacher who becomes a superhero after being hit by a meteor. The film has so many people from Marla Gibbs, Eddie Griffin, Robert Guillaume, James Earl Jones, Bill Cosby, Another Bad Creation, Luther Vandross, Sinbad, Naughty by Nature, Cypress Hill, and Big Daddy Kane. Hell, it seemed like if you needed a job, this was the film to be it and yet it failed to entertain as I got older.
Blankman (1994)
Blankman is straight up trash. It is beyond trash and not entertaining or funny in any way, shape or form. A nerdy man decides to become a hero to turn his city around is fine but the whole execution and story was a waste of time. Once again, the film isn’t really that funny and is a complete waste of time. Your mind will turn blank as you watch this film.
Bloodshot (2020)
Bloodshot is one of those films that had a lot of potential but failed miserably. Maybe it’s because Vin Diesel is only good at driving cars, playing Riddick and saying I am Groot. This is your typical superhero film with any substance or plot really. The effects are okay and has it’s moments but in the end this film failed and never really got off ground. Throw a grenade and let this film blow up into pieces.
Morbius (2022)
Morbius is one of those films that might gain a following decades from now. It’s pretty bad from the story, acting and effects. It doesn’t have the potential for another film. Hell, if Suicide Squad can get a reboot with most of the same actors, Morbius can. Let’s put this film in a coffin and seal it deep in the ground.
Underdog (2007)
Underdog was not here to save the day. He pretty much crashed and burned before liftoff. If any animal ever dreamed of being a superhero, they can look elsewhere or maybe give up that dream after watching this film. The cartoon was iconic and entertaining. The film not so much. Let this be known that maybe you should put some time into making a quality film rather than messing up a perfectly good cartoon show.
