Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to present to you one of the WORSE movies I have ever seen in my life. I don’t even know why I even watch this movie because it is TERRIBLE!! The acting was at an all-time bad. The whole freaking story was laughable, made you scratch your head and say, what the hell is this shit that I am watching. Maybe because it was with Sharon Stone, and she was doing her erotic thriller once again like she did in Basic Instinct, but she should’ve skipped this movie because it was just bad all the way around. I swear I have lost some brain cells watching this film.

The film starts off with a murder, as usual with erotic films. This time a woman gets thrown from the balcony of her apartment complex and falls through a greenhouse. The movie then moves on to Carly Norris (Stone), a book editor and divorcee in her mid-30s, who moves into the exclusive New York City sliver building “113”. While living in the building, she meets many other tenants: Zeke (Baldwin), a video game designer; Jack (Berenger), a novelist who loves to write thrillers; Vida (Walker), a fashion model who spends her nights being a high-end call girl; and finally Gus (Curtis), a professor of videography at New York University. They all explain to Carly that she looks exactly like Naomi, the previous tenant of her apartment before her death. Things seem normal as Carly appears to run into Zeke numerous times before inviting him to her housewarming party. They get along well and begin a sexual and weird relationship. Jack has also taken a liking to Carly and begins stalking her to the extreme. Strange things begin to happen as Carly finds a telescope in her apartment that she begins to spy on other people. After a night of passion and the deaths of Gus and someone else, Zeke reveals to Carly that he is the owner of the 113 and that he has installed a high end and very creepy video surveillance system throughout the building, allowing him to spy on all of the tenants of 113 from his own secret surveillance room. At first disgusted, Carly soon becomes intrigued as she watches many of the tenants in private and the secrets that they hold. She soon deduces that Jack killed Naomi in a crime of passion. Why did he do this? Zeke was having sexual relationships and saying the same thing to all the other women in 113. Finally, deciding that this is wrong, Carly destroys Zeke’s surveillance system before moving on with her life.

Yea, this movie was beyond terrible. First, dude had a surveillance camera all over the building and people’s apartments. Talk about your worse fears coming true with people watching you. Play that Rockwell-Somebody’s Watching Me because this film will make you think about it. Zeke was all up in people’s business and watching it for his own pleasure, which was DISGUSTING!! He recorded himself having sex and then other people. It seems like most of his cameras was in the bathroom. Straight Nasty! Also, when Carly finally found out, homegirl was intrigued, and when she saw things even, she didn’t notify the police. Yea, I know you can’t just say anything out loud, but when a girl was getting molested, then you should speak up rather than keeping quiet and keep watching films. What is wrong with you also.

The whole sexual scenes and atmosphere were weird. I know this came out after Basic Instinct, and I guess it wanted to do the same thing, but it sure did fail and made it weird. The whole restaurant scene was, “W.T.F”! I understand being risky and doing things in public. It is hot, but this made it weird. Then Zeke sneaking up in the night to have a sex session was also strange and weird. This film was trying to be a thriller but ultimately became a softcore porn session with some terrible acting.

Since I have been talking about the acting, what the freak was that because it wasn’t acting. Stone was just all over the place with her character. Half the time, I didn’t know if she was afraid or intrigued or some other emotion. Baldwin was creepy and, overall, the ultimate stalker. He seemed to have the same tone and facial expression throughout the whole film. Berenger was just the WAY over-the-top stalker that couldn’t take a hint with them crazy eyes.

Honestly, please don’t even waste your time watching this film. You will lose about an hour and a half of your life. Use that time to watch something way more entertaining. Sharon Stone is way better in other films than this one. For the sake of everything you love, please watch something else.
