The gorgeous Natalie Portman has had a career so far. Starring in her early teens beside Gary Oldman in one of the craziest roles of all-time. Portman has went on to be a Star Wars queen, helping a revolution in England, dancing her ass off in ballet, being a god and even exploring an alien environment on Earth. Portman continues to be a high ranking actress.

Mathilda Lando- Léon: The Professional (1994)

Via: Gaumont Buena Vista International

We are going to start this off right with Portman’s first role. The one and only Mathilda. In her first movie role ever, Portman went up against one of the best villains of all time played by the great Gary Oldman who was insane but brilliant. For Portman to act alongside Oldman was a testament for future performances to come.

Sayers/White Swan/Odette- Black Swan (2010)

Via: Fox Searchlight Pictures

In the role that Portman won her Academy Award, she was great as Sayers. First, when you are in a Darren Aronofsky’s film, you know its going to be a little messed up. Seeing into the world of ballet is just as ruthless as sports. Portman did the thing with playing somewhat dual roles. When she lost her mind, she really did lose her mind to be the perfect ballet dancer. Standing ovation.

Padmé Amidala- Star Wars: Episode 1, 2, and 3

When you are Luke Skywalkers and Princess Leia’s mother, you might have hit iconic status. Granted, the prequel Star War films are not the greatest but Portman does rock some major outfits, especially in episode one. Portman does have some scenes where it’s a little overacting but she was young and you cant fault her for giving her best.

Evey Hammond- V for Vendetta (2005)

Via: Warner Bros

“Remember, remember the Fifth of November.” Portman shaved her head for this role. I don’t know about you but that is freakin commitment. The film had this George Orwell 1984 feel to it. Portman was okay in the beginning but really turned it on towards the end when her character became free.

Jane Foster/Mighty Thor- Thor series (2011-2022)

Portman arrived to the MCU as the love interest of the might god Thor. Portman portrays Jane as a genius who then becomes a god in herself. A perfect match for the mighty Thor who left a major scar on him. Hey, Portman is BEAUTIFUL and definitely one to conquer thunder

Lena- Annihilation (2018)

You want to talk about a science fiction psychological horror film that is quite interesting to watch. Annihilation is one of those films that is intense and will impress you. It follows a group of explorers who enter “The Shimmer”, a mysterious quarantined zone of mutating plants and animals caused by an alien presence. Portman plays one of the scientists who husband went in and came out strange. Portman fighting the bear was crazy!

Alice Ayres/Jane Jones- Closer (2004)

Via: Sony Pictures Releasings

With a strong supporting cast, Portman plays Alice, a woman who gets hit by a car while in London. Portman does a great job, and her chemistry is strong opposite of Clive Owen. Portman manages to hid most of the vulnerabilities of her character while also giving a inside look into the depth of her character’s life. Portman garnered her first Oscar nomination for the role.

Jacqueline Kennedy- Jackie (2016)

Via: Fox Searchlight Pictures

In the film that follows the former First Lady from her days when she was in the White House to her life following the assassination of her husband, United States President John F. Kennedy, in 1963. Portman should be applauded for this role as she did her research into the former First Lady. Portman mimicked Kennedy’s vocals and let it be known that Kennedy was a debutante in public but feisty behind closed doors.

Sara- Cold Mountain (2003)

Via: Miramax Films

Portman played a lonely widow during this Civil War romance film. The role was small, and Portman isn’t on screen for more than maybe 10 minutes. She made it be known as several soldiers come and try to rape her. Many are killed by Law’s character, but Portman made sure to gun down one of them.
