You want to talk about a spiteful, ruling with an iron fist type person, then look no further than Nurse Ratched. Ratched is a woman who has a very cold expression who loves to be cruel to the patients that she oversees. Nurse Ratched is so evil, based on AFI 100 villains, homegirl came in at number 5, just behind the Wicked Witch of the West.
Nurse Ratched is a cold, heartless tyrant who is described in the world as a battle-axe or someone who is aggressive, forceful and degrading. She believes that the best thing for her patients is to have them on a strict schedule. Anyone who speaks out of turn or goes against her will be dealt with in the harshest of manners. You mess with Nurse Ratched’s schedule, and you will go and have shock therapy. Ratched power comes from her very calm appearance and vast knowledge on the people she oversees. She knows their weaknesses and like a python, constricts around them to make them obedient and submissive.
Nurse Ratched has a ZERO tolerance for rule breakers and with the addition of Mac to the group, this is a true test to her authority. Mac becomes the spark that she believes will help her even more in controlling with an iron fist. If she can break him then she can break anyone. Now, Mac tests her when he wants to watch a game and she says they need to vote on it. Her most heinous act was when she catches Billy and Candy having sex. Knowing his weakness, she threatens to call his mama. This sends Billy to kill himself. Nurse Ratched is one who you should watch out for.
