We hope that this can be your one-stop-shop for reviews, entertainment, and a good laugh. There is so much that we have in store for everyone.
Since I was a little kid, I have always loved going to the cinema or even watching a movie at home. Going to the cinema is like a mini escape for me. A place where I get to be entertained to the fullest, watch people’s dreams and imaginations come true. Some visions should never see the light of day, but that is for another day and post. Sitting in the theater with my little popcorn and watching new and exciting things come to life is a joy.
What have been some of the all-time favorite movie moments one has witnessed? For me, it was Jurassic Park. Learning about dinosaurs in elementary school and then going out for recess where I miserably failed at trying to be a T-Rex. When Jurassic Park came out, it brought out the imagination of seeing a dinosaur in real life. How about movies where one can be an adventurer? I can’t count how many times I wanted to be Indiana Jones and use a whip to swing around. Side note, a bullwhip, and tree branches do not work like they do in the movies. What about movies where you could be a spy? Trying to do the whole James Bond turn and fire to the music will always be a highlight.
My love for movies has always been high and growing up; I wanted to be a movie critic — what better way than to have someone pay you to see a film and review it for fun. DREAM COME TRUE!!!
So, what can you expect from Turtle Time Reviews???
-
- The first one is the Film Reviews! For our film reviews, they will be broken down into several categories.
- Anime: Some of the greatest shows ever made. Some highlights are DBZ, Death Note, Cowboy Bebop, Gurren Lagann and so many more. Stars like Samuel L. Jackson, Keanu Reeves, Michael B. Jordan and others love it.
- Classics: What more could you ask for with the classics — movies like Casablanca, Sunset Boulevard, and many others. Pretty much, if the film is black and white, it is probably going into this section.
- Cult Classics: Movies that straight up bombed in theaters but somehow are popular today.
- Guy’s Nights: Popcorn, This is Sparta, Car Chases, Die Hard
- It’s Ladies Night: Romance, Explosion, Female Lead, What more can you say
- Movies That Make You Go…Huh??: You know the film. The ones where you sit in the theater and have no earthly idea what is going on and they are so very, very bad.
- We will also be having a Podcast! What better way than to hear the crew rant and rave over a variety of topics dealing with movies and many other things that somehow pop in our heads.
- Another area we will touch upon is Amusement Park Fun. We have one of the biggest Disney fan in maybe Orange County. She has a ton of tips and how to make a Disney trip worthwhile. Trust me, I know because she found a way where we didn’t have to stand in line, and I hate lines. Also, we might have some stuff on other amusement parks.
- Another section of this blog and my personal favorite is Sports Talk. With it being football season, what better way than to hear from one of the biggest Green Bay Packers fan and overall football fanatic. Our football fanatic will fight you if you say anything wrong about A.A. Ron because as Stephen A. Smith says, “He’s A Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad Man!” We hope you enjoy our rants about sports and who just flat out needs some help.
- Finally, a new series inspired by the twitter account Captain Andrew Luck comes our take on it, Letters from Cowboy. A cat that writes his mother to let her know what he has seen on the battlefield while protecting the house he loves and guards. Private First Class Cowboy has a very vivid imagination for a cat.
