I am not ashamed to say that I went to the X3 Expo in LA. I figured I could see some of my favorite adult actresses. The venue was meh, but the experience was fascinating. To see your favorite actress in person will make your heart beat a million miles per hour. Everyone I met was extremely kind, let me take a picture, and I had a deep conversation with one of them. Kay Lovely was an absolute doll, and everyone should meet her. Dani Daniels was one of the nicest and most caring people I met. Alexis Fawx was the coolest and funniest. Jewelz Blu was my anime girl and a joy to talk to. Britney Amber was amazing as we spoke about her Pokemon collection, and she was delightful. I tried to see Angela White, but her line was too long, but she was stunning. I also met Katie Morgan, who is in this movie and one of the nicest people ever. I bring this up because Porn Stars and Adult Entertainers are people, and we can learn so much from them. I have the highest respect for them and the job/career they do. They should be treated like anyone else with respect and love.

Have you ever been so broke that the best idea you have is to make an amateur adult video to sell? This film is all about paying those freakin bills. The film is raunchy but also pretty funny. Zack Brown (Rogan) and Miri Linky (Banks) have been friends since elementary school and are platonic roommates. They have never got it on, or has the thought crossed their minds. Both are completely dead broke and work at shitty dead-end retail jobs. When the lights and water are shut off, things get real. At their ten-year high school reunion, Zack comes up with an idea to solve their financial problems while speaking to a friend of a friend. He decides that the fastest way to make money is to make a porn video with Miri and himself as lead actors and distribute the final product themselves. As the pair figure out how to produce the film and develop a title, they face many obstacles with the cost of equipment, the sound stage, sets, and other actors. As the idea comes to fruition, the realization that they will have to have sex soon comes into focus. They decide that they will treat it as a job with no effect on their friendship. As the pair work more on the project, the impact of it on their relationship becomes apparent as the two friends soon bicker and become jealous. The true test comes when they must confront their feelings for each other.

I have to admit that I enjoyed this film. It is a raunchy Seth Rogan film, but I was impressed with it. I have been meaning to watch it, and I think what really got me going was when I met Katie Morgan for the first time. In a time when many people need to pay their bills, they turn to sex work. Only Fans has exploded, and I ain’t mad for anyone trying to get their hustle on, make a better life for themselves, and wanting to buy anything their heart desires. The story reflects that. You out of money, turn to sex work, and get paid.

What I found funny about this film was that trying to make the movie seem to have an obstacle beyond obstacle. Delaney reluctantly gives up funds because he always talks about how his woman yells at him, but he agrees to become a producer. He is funny because he gets to cast the stars and has a difficulty rating women’s breasts. Thinking of the name of the porn was funny because they rattle off so many that you start getting confused until they land on Star Whores. They obtain a building and set, and it looks fancy until the person they bought it from pretty much scammed them.

With their hopes down, it looks like the crew would give up until Zack finds a hidden camcorder because he is an awful employee. They take the camcorder, use the coffee shop as a set and then make a porn. This is where the film becomes raunchy but has really good material. The shooting of the porn on the camcorder was straight-up awful and had the look of an amateur feel. Lester and Stacey are pretty much the stars and seem to be always banging. What is “awful” is all the mistakes. The microphone coming down, and the bad acting is because everyone is nervous. Hell, during an anal scene, Stacey gets scared and shits everywhere and on the cameraman. I heard anal is nasty, but damn, she had corn and everything in her mess. When Zack and Miri have to make their scene, it is wanky, but the two have passionate sex that seems to last a few pumps, but you can tell they really like each other.

The film shows what happens with the friendship between Zack and Miri after their sex scene. Miri gets jealous when Stacey wants to sleep with Zack to prepare for their scene. The next day Miri is pissed, and once again, boundaries were set, but someone’s feelings got hurt. Zack moved out, and I didn’t realize three months had passed. When Delaney states the film needs an ending, we see Zack and Miri make up. I think the acting was on point, as everyone gets their “happy” ending. See what I did there. Classic.

The acting in this film is the best part of the whole film. I have to give it to Seth Rogan and Elizabeth Banks. They were funny and awkward but kept it real with each other. They used foul language, roasted each other, and seemed to speak their minds when they were friends before hooking up.

The supporting cast was equally good. Craig Robinson as Delaney was hilarious. Robinson always has a coolness and swag about him that makes you laugh. He never seems to raise his voice but seems so cool that you want to do karaoke with him. Jason Mewes was Jason Mewes. He was loud, over the top, and seemed to play himself all over again as Jay from the Jay and Silent Bob series. Traci Lords was surprisingly good. I wasn’t expecting her to be deadpan, but funny. In this review, I have spoken about Katie Morgan before, but she was a joy to watch. She played the ditzy blonde who is very sexual but wants to do a great job. Morgan is as beautiful as ever, but the anal/shit scene was hilarious but also nasty. Justin Long and Brandon Routh were surprisingly good in this film. Playing a gay couple that does porn, they seem to be polar opposites of each other but get along. They are not in the movie long, but they are pretty good.

I will say it again that I enjoyed this Seth Rogan and Elizabeth Banks film. I am happy that I finally watched it and found it raunchy but entertaining. The story or premise speaks today with people doing sex work to pay them bills. You can’t be mad at it. Rather than watching a porn, give this raunchy film a go and have a decent laugh.
