Maid Droid was an unexpected film for me as I roam through the depths of Tubi. I highly enjoyed the movie for the story, naked women, and the feel of the film. It was at night, and I have been on an erotic, trashy kick lately. I was surprised that Rich Mallery returned to write and direct a sequel. This time, he presents Maid Droid Origins. This is a sequel or a prequel. What I will say is this film is straight up TRASH. Everything that made the original special was thrown away in 90 minutes. Bring back Mako and Faith West!!!

You would think, since the film has the word “origins” in it, we would get a story about maybe the first Maid Droid. Perhaps we could tell a story about a company that conceived the idea of making a Maid Droid and how it revolutionized the world. What we got was nothing of the sorts and another film with a Maid Droid, a pathetic scientist and a bitchy wife. Nothing in this film made sense, and we deserve better. BRING BACK MAKO AND FAITH WEST!!
This film doesn’t even seem to be in the same universe or storyline as the previous film, and only one character makes a return. The movie starts off with the beautiful Eve (Katie Kay) getting busy with her client. Eve is an android built to please her clients. After Eve has sex with her male client, she suddenly chokes the shit out of him and kills him. Dude really got off. Eve seems to snap out of her killing spree, appears confused about what overtook her, and bounces. Unsure of where to go or what to do, she goes to the house of the creator of Maid Droids, Timothy (Bryan Brewer). Timothy is caught off guard as he doesn’t know how she found him, but she pleads with him not to turn her in, as the company might destroy her.
Timothy has left the company and lives a pretty pathetic life. His beautiful wife, Belle (Cassie Ghersi), is a workaholic, and they seem to have a strained relationship. When Belle comes home, they have this mistress/slave type relationship where she whips him. With Eve showing up, shit might get real, but Timothy feels closeness to Eve, and she was his first Maid Droid he ever designed, and he had plenty of sex with. Timothy agrees to run diagnostics on Eve and see why she is violent. Timothy leaves her in the garage, too, so he wouldn’t see Bella’s jealous rage.
Throughout the film, Eve is visited by her mother when she is asleep. Her mother, to me, is central programming and has all the answers. What the film really focuses on is the concept of an android gaining or having a soul. Eve seems to dream a lot, and when she is awake, she harbors strong feelings, appearing to be a good girlfriend who wants to care for and please Timothy.

Timothy’s story is that he left the company because he didn’t like how the androids were being treated. Dude, you made an android for sex. Timothy has some MAJOR issues. His wife, Bella, treats him like shit. She gives him chores, and if he doesn’t do them, she steps on him and does some crazy shit. Timothy appears to be a weakling and is easily defeated. Bella seems to be a person that had been cheating on Timothy, as she gets home late and is never in the mood for sex. She seems like a total bitch.
I am going to skip to the end. People come and try to take Eve, but she kills them. Come to find out they are androids also. Then the big reveal happens. Bella is an android, just like Eve. Bella and Eve have this big ass fight. Timothy created Bella for some odd fuckin reason because he needed her. In the end, he fixes both androids. Bella is sweeter and kinder, while Eve is the new dominatrix or whatever she is. The whole story and film were stupid.
The film has a lot less nudity. It focuses more on the scientific and soul part of the film. You see Eve naked maybe twice, and Bella once or twice. I would like to know the reason for the switch, as the first one really focused on the programming of the Maid Droids, and this one seemed to take a new direction that left you confused and uninterested.

As for the acting, it was okay. I don’t want to kill anyone because I looked at the profiles of the actors and see that many of them are starting out. Katie Kay, I actually liked her as Eve. She annoyed me a little with her little twitches and the way she talked, but I realized she was imitating a robot. I appreciated her commitment to the role, as she revealed more human aspects of her character. Cassie Ghersi is downright gorgeous. She was the best part as she was in control of her character. She played it perfectly. She played the role so well, I hated her character. When you perform like that and make it convincing, you are doing it right.
Maid Droid Origins is a major, major step down from the original film. It only took a year to ruin the entire series. The positive is the acting of Katie Kay and Cassie Ghersi. The negative is everything else about this stupid film. The story was terrible and there was nothing “origin” about this film. The concept is something that has been played out before. If there is a third movie, BRING BACK MAKO AND FAITH WEST!!!
