Here we go again!! I hope you are in full swing of SPOOKY SEASON!! All the fears and scares should be all around you. I have some special horror movie quotes that should get you in the mood to watch all the terrifying and ghoulish movies for the season. Prepare for some devilish movie quotes.
“I never drink…. Wine” – Count Dracula, Dracula (1931)
When Dracula and Renfield are finishing up their business, Dracula offers a glass of wine to Renfield. When Renfield asks Dracula if he was going to pour himself one, Dracula drops this famous line. It is so great but subtle because you know the vampire doesn’t drink wine, but it was that slight pause that should’ve made your ears perk up. Bela Lugosi was great at delivering this line.
“A boy’s best friend is his mother.” — Norman Bates, Psycho (1960)
Psycho is one of the best horror movies ever made. A classic film about Norman Bates who runs a hotel and dearly loves his mother. During a conversation with Marion, Norman drops this iconic but creepy line. I love my mama and I wouldn’t say she is my best friend. She’s my mom. This subtle quote that Norman drops should prepare you that Norman has some issues.
“Redrum. Redrum! Redrum!” — Danny Torrance, The Shining (1980)
The Shining is one of those creepy ass movies made after a Stephen King novel. Jack Nicholson steals the show with his descent into madness. His son Danny with his abilities has a crazy line. He repeatedly says redrum while holding a giant ass knife. When he writes the word and it appears on the mirror, you know shit gets real. It’s an innocent word that has a creepy meaning.
