Welcome back to the series that I love and enjoy! Everyone loves a great movie quote and there are so many out there. Look at us now! This is the 42nd post of this series. That is 126 movie quotes so far and I only scratched the tip of the iceberg. Get ready as I got some quotes from an iconic Bond villain to a man hunting a beast in the jungle to a gladiator. Here we go with some great movie quotes.
“No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!” – Auric Goldfinger, Goldfinger (1964)
Many of the best Bond quotes come from the legendary spy. This one comes from an iconic villain who probably has the third best ever in a Bond film. Auric Goldfinger was a straight up savage when he dropped this line. He left James Bond at a lost for words when he dropped this line. Having Bond strapped to a table, Bond asks if he expects him to spill his guts. Auric chuckles and drops this savage line. That’s a gangsta move. Bond can talk his way out of many things but Goldfinger wasn’t having it.
“If it bleeds, we can kill it.” – Dutch, Predator (1987)
This line should be in ALL alien films or action films. Arnold drops this line and shows he means business. He doesn’t even hesitate to show that if something is bleeding it means it is vulnerable. If something is bleeding, you know damn well that you have the opportunity to kill the thing. No matter how strong something is, making it bleed means you can go all out to kill it.
“What we do in life echoes in eternity.” – Maximus, Gladiator (2000)
Maximus drops this quote before the first battle in the film. He is inspiring his men and drops this line that might sound simple but yet is extremely powerful. Maximus is telling his men and the world that the impact of our actions and choices can have profound effects on history. What we do in our life can live on in time and might inspire many for generations to come.
