“Mother knows best.” Mothers are the best. I have a great mother. I have a mother that is straight up evil and vile. Let me introduce you to Mother Gothel from the movie Tangled. Mother Gothel is old as shit as she is centuries or even a millennium old. She cares about one thing and one thing only, the power of a flower that keeps her young and vibrant. When a baby is born with the power, she kidnaps the baby and hides the child away in a tower. That is straight up crazy and obsessive. Here is to the obsessive mother. Welcome to Mother Gothel’s world.
Mother Gothel appearance is one of beauty and elegance but also when time catches up with you. Mother Gothel has two appearances. Let’s start off with the one she rolls with the most in the film. When she uses Rapunzel’s hair to make her youthful, her hair becomes long and black with sexy waves in it. Her hair is her pride and joy as to her it symbolizes her youth and beauty. She must be using that Pantene shampoo because her hair be lookin’ fresh. Also in her youthful appearance, Mother Gothel’s facial appearance is sharp with high cheekbones, a petite chin and a little full to show off that she is foine. Her eyes are dark and can show both warmth and coldness. When she becomes old, her skin goes from a little color to porcelain white. Homegirl looks like she needs some sun. Her hair becomes gray bet she still has those waves. Her facial features has wrinkles but she looks like a witch.
You would think that being a mother, Mother Gothel would be kind, loving and caring. She is the complete opposite as she is vain, self-centered, manipulative, gaslights like the worse of them, sinister, narcissistic and shrewd. She is not the mother you would want in life. The only reason she cares about Rapunzel is because of her magical hair that keeps her young and alive. She gives zero cares about Rapunzel. She pretends to love Rapunzel and figures that taking care of her for 18 years was a good investment even though she verbally and emotionally abuses the girl to destroy her confidence and self-esteem. Even though she is old as everything, she can be extremely childish and straight up entitled. She will go on a temper tantrum when she doesn’t get her way or if Rapunzel gives the slightest opinion. If you cross her too much, she has no concerns of killing you. She stabbed Flynn in cold blood and then blamed Rapunzel for making her do it.
Mother Gothel has to rank pretty high as one of the most villainous mothers of all time. A person that has lived for centuries or a millennium, she cares about one thing and one thing only and that is not Rapunzel. She is a vile, cruel, sadistic woman who is manipulative and will cause some trauma to a little girl to keep her under her control. This mother knows best.
