Samurai Champloo is an awesome anime with samurai, hip hop music and a fantastic story. Mugen is one of the roughest and coolest samurai around. Dude lives by his own rules and code. When dude tries to buy him off, he drops this line, and it is so true. We can all make excuses in this world, but we are the ones who decide what to do with our lives. Mugen dropping major and life changing lines.
“Arrogance destroys the footholds of victory.” – Byakuya Kuchiki, Bleach (2005)
The calmest dude of the bunch drops the hardest and thought-provoking line. Byakuya doesn’t have a filter and calls it how he sees it. Standing across from Ichigo, he drops this line. Overconfidence can lead to one’s downfall. What makes this line so hard is how Byakuya delivers it. Dude is arrogant in his own abilities and doesn’t believe that Ichigo has a Bankai. Point of the lesson: Don’t say your victorious until you have achieved the goal. Mistakes will cost you.
“If There is a Hell, I’ll See You There” – Isaac Netero, Hunter X Hunter (2019)
At the end of the fight between Netero and Meruem, Netero is giving a speech after he lost his arm and leg. Like the boss that he is, he knows that he is defeated but he is about to put the ultimate fear in the King of Ants. Netero lets Meruem know that they will meet in Hell. That he will be waiting to resume their fight and whip that ass. Such a gangsta quote!
