Say his name!!! or KNEEL before him. You know who it is? That evil, diabolical, somewhat lovable, God of Mischief, the one and only LOKI!!!!!! Loki Laufeyson aka the God of Mischief and future ruler of Asgard is one of the main villains in the first stage of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Adopted by Odin and Frigga and adoptive brother of Thor and Hela, Loki wants to be the king and God of all. Let’s give it up to Tom Hiddleston who expertly and iconically has become the best version of this oh so mischievous god.
Unlike his brother, Thor, Loki doesn’t have a fearsome appearance besides that headdress. I see you. Loki is a slender Asgardian with pale-ass skin, jet black hair and green eyes. When he smiles, you can tell there is evil behind it. Let’s talk about his outfit. When he is ready for battle, it’s all about that golden horned headdress. He wears a black/green jumpsuit with a long yellow cape. Remember, he is a trickster, and tricksters do not need to be that intimidating.
As the God of Mischief, Loki is an expert liar. No one lies better than Loki. Loki is a highly intelligent man who will stop at nothing to fulfilling his quest of glorious purpose. Most people and even his family don’t trust him because he is such a lying and manipulative trickster for the simple reason he wanted to be considered as an equal to his big adoptive brother, Thor. This has caused a wall to be thrown up with his emotions. Loki is a sensitive god and the only way he seems to get any emotions is to be a dick with a mixture of arrogance and a little bit of narcissism. While trying to get his daddy’s attention and be on the level of Thor, he has no problem having humanity bow down to him and even complete genocide of his own people to prove that he is worthy.
Being the God of Mischief and an Asgardian, Loki is a force to be reckoned with and has many abilities that make him quite fearsome. Loki’s main ability and weapon is by far his intelligence. Centuries of learning, training and watching have enhanced his mental skills to genius-like levels. His mental abilities along with his centuries of training in Asgard have made him an extremely formidable foe in combat. Loki might be from the Frost Giants race but dude is still strong and can whip ass. He is strong enough to knock Thor to the ground, fling Tony across the room like a rag doll and survive explosions. Loki also has the ability to create and manipulate ice but he rarely uses it, but his most lovable ability is his use of magic. From his teachings with Frigga, he loves to create physical illusions of himself that plays into the God of Mischief persona.
Loki is one of the best and most iconic villains in the entire MCU. He is burdened with glorious purpose and wants everyone to kneel before him. Loki just wants to be recognized and loved by his father, brother and people. From his first appearance in Thor to ruling over the first Avengers to now becoming Lord of Time, Loki will forever be one of the most iconic villains ever to appear in MCU history.
