The world of sex and robots is becoming more prevalent today. You can find realistic sex dolls on sale now, and many lonely people are starting to buy them for companionship. Hell, many are straight-up marrying them. It is a freaky time right now, but after watching so many sci-fi movies with androids and sexy maids and everything else under the sun, it was a matter of time before humanity hits this point. That brings me to today’s review of Maid Droid. Yup, once again, I was in the depths of Tubi looking for something that had sex and maybe a good plot. Hey, nothing wrong with trying to find something that has nudity and sexy time. As I looked through the thumbnails, Maid Droid caught my eye. That sexy maid outfit on the character caught my attention. First, I saved it to my watch list and then had time to view it. Now, I have seen a lot of B-level movies. More than I think I should have. Maid Droid was actually pretty good, in my opinion, for a B-level film. The plot was straightforward and interesting, and the characters were done well. Put down the duster, and let’s get into this film.
Written, directed, and edited by Rich Mallery, Maid Droid is a better watch than your typical shit type of film. The film introduces us to Harrison (Jose Adam Alvarez), who is going through a major crisis. Dude has been dumped by his former foine ass girl Julie (Kylee Michael). Once again, Julie is FOINE, GORGEOUS, and Stunning. Everything Harrison does reminds him of Julie. We get periodic visions of Julie either nude or in a sexual position while bad mouthing Harrison. Harrison is relatively older than Julie, and to pull that, damn man. Harrison is now being a little bitch and seems unable to move on.
One night, while he is chilling with his boy Jason (Quentin Boyer), who might be a douchebag but not really in the movie long enough to care, he hands Harrison a business card with a code on the back. He tells Harrison to call the number and book a robot maid that looks, feels, tastes, and smells like the real thing. The following day, Harrison’s curiosity gets the better of him, and he calls the number. He decides to book the android for four hours. A FOINE ass beautiful android dressed in one of the skimpiest maid costumes shows up to clean the house. Harrison decides to name the android Mako (Faith West). Mako is FOINE and has one of the sexiest bodies in the film. Mako cleans Harrison’s place for three hours, and in the last hour, performs a sex act on Harrison. Dude goes to bed feeling happy, and the next day quickly orders another session with Mako. Once again, Harrison gets busy with Mako. Hooked on Mako, Harrison calls to see if he could book Mako for a weekend. The company tells Harrison he has the funds and sends Eddie (Chris Spinelli) to install a home charger in his walk-in closet. Eddie states that the robot’s battery power is around 8 hours and that Harrison should lock her in the closet for 8 hours to charge her fully.

Eddie gives the warning that he should put the robot out of his view while charging because they can do some really weird shit that might scare them and shit himself. Mako is programmed to feel emotions and sensations like a human, such as having an orgasm. Shit is wild to think. Things seem cool as Mako states that Harrison is a kind man. Harrison treats her like a girlfriend as they spend time in the jacuzzi and watch the stars. He even goes as far as to say he would take her on a date. The pair have a lot of sex. Things seem perfect until shit starts getting weird. Mako is suddenly haunted by visions of her previous customers who treated her like shit. When Harrison tried something, Mako would get a flashback of her being abused. She is choked, tied up, whipped, and degraded because she is not “real.”
One evening, Harrison finds Mako in the kitchen in a trance with a knife in her hand. Another evening, he wakes up with her in a trance, standing over his bed. Shit is creepy, but it doesn’t stop there. Mako starts becoming jealous and looks through Harrison’s phone. When Julia comes back into Harrison’s life and he lies about seeing her, shit really hits the fan, and Mako loses it.
I must admit that I was really into Maid Droid. I was surprised by it because I thought it was going to be another shitty B-movie. I do love looking at beautiful nude women, and people might be turned off by that aspect of the film, along with the sex acts, but this is actually a good movie. Looking at the thumbnail and being on Tubi, I thought it was going to be like the other wild B-level movies that have terrible acting, a storyline that has a lot of holes, and God awful.
As stated earlier, there is a ton of nudity and mention of sex. Faith West and Kylee Michael have more nude scenes than scenes with actual clothes on. These aspects add to the film. Harrison is a horny man who was dumped. All he can think about as many men think is with his little man. The sex must’ve been fantastic with Julie, cause dude can’t get her out of his mind. Harrison has a hard time moving on. Many people struggle to move on from a relationship. I know I have, but in this case, he turns his affections to an android that is as real as an actual woman. Mako adores him and seems to have feelings, wanting to please Harrison in all ways.

Yet, Mallery expertly shows how S&M can get out of hand, especially with the porn fantasy of a maid. The power dynamics from a man to a woman, boss to employee, and real versus fake are shown in detail. There is light torture and punishment between Harrison and Mako, but Mallery flips it on its head and shows the extreme that Mako went through. You start seeing Mako not as an android but as an actual human. She shows that she has feelings, concerns, and pains. You find yourself rooting for Mako because of what she went through. She didn’t have to lose her mind on Julie, but she was pushed to the edge by trauma. This also shows that trauma is harbored deep in people. Mako can have her programming wiped as many times as the company wants, but, in the end, trauma will always come to the surface.
Faith West shined brightly in this film. She showed the wide range of emotions that Mako went through, from happiness, pleasure, and pain. It was the subtle shift in her facial expression that revealed a woman who, despite wanting to please, was afraid and then disgusted. This was her first role and hope that she continues to get bigger and better opportunities and not be pigeonholed with certain roles. I think she is just getting started.
Maid Droid was a pleasant surprise of a sci-fi flick that seems to be becoming more and more true with each passing day in the real world. Are there other films with androids that revolt? Of course! This is on the lower scale, but considering its budget, it gets to the point and draws you in. Faith West was raw, but I can see a bright future for her if she keeps it up. Watch this film at night because it is an interesting, nude-filled film.
