Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages. We have officially hit it. Welcome to the 50th posting of Movie Quotes. Sound the applause. I am happy to present to you some great quotes in honor of Black History Month. This time around, I have EPIC quotes spoken by black actors/actresses. I hope you are ready because these are some great quotes.

“Always bet on black.” – John Cutter, Passenger 57 (1992)

Via: Warner Bros

If you have never seen Passenger 57, you are missing out. It stars Wesley Snipes as Cutter an ass-whipping security consultant who must stop Rane who is an international terrorist mastermind that just hijacked a plane. One of the best black lines ever as when you play roulette, you always bet on black. You always bet on black to come out on top. You damn right!

“Forgiveness is between them and God. It’s my job to arrange the meeting.” —Creasy, Man on Fire (2004)

Via: 20th Century Fox

This is by far one of the hardest quotes I have ever heard. Denzel delivers it brilliantly. As Creasy is on his mission to reclaim Lupita from the hand of the kidnappers, he leaves a path of destruction. When an old man asks him about forgiving those, Creasy drops this amazing line. You know once this line is spoken, Creasy has made up his mind that no one will be spared, and he is about to arrange a lot of meetings. What a great line.

“I am Queen of the most powerful nation in the world! And my entire family is gone! Have I not given everything?” – Ramonda, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)

Via: Disney & Marvel Studios

Angela Bassett deserved an Academy Award for this performance and speech along right here. Queen Ramonda dropped this line after losing everyone she loved and cared about. The line is powerful from the emotions and tone of Queen Ramonda’s voice. Once again, Angela “Queen Mother” Bassett should’ve won the Academy Award from this one quote alone.
