Happy Valentines Day Week!!! If you have a loved one, hold them tight and give them a few kisses. If you hate your loved one, I have some awful romance movies that will probably make you want to break up or not get into a relationship. Who needs love when you have awful movies! Get ready to bring out whatever snack you want, throw on those sweatpants and be happy you’re not in love.

Ghosts Can’t Do It (1989)

Via: Triumph Releasing

This was the STUPIDEST movie and deserved every Razzie Award and worst picture accolades. A film starring Bo Derek who plays a woman who loves her elderly husband even if they have a 30-year age gap. Dude dies but comes back as a ghost. They get pissed because they can’t have sex. Her dead husband convinces her to go around and find a suitable body to possess so they can get busy. This film was straight up trash and needs to be buried in the depths of hell.

Autumn in New York (2000)

Via: MGM

Autumn in New York is not a bad film; it is just boring as hell and pretty bland. Watching paint dry is far more entertaining than this film. A film where a womanizing restauranter falls for a terminally ill person will make you cock an eyebrow. One problem with the film is the lead actors. Gere looks like he can be Ryder’s father and there seems to be zero chemistry between them.

Monster-in-Law (2005)

Via: New Line Cinema

Jane Fonda is Hollywood royalty and to come back after 15 years of retirement for this film is a travesty. Fonda steals the movie but even her star power can’t help the awful script. Even though the film made bank, it is terrible to watch. Fonda outclasses everyone and it seemed that no one could keep up with her. One might want to have a terrible in-law than watching this film. It would be far more entertaining.

Romeo & Juliet (2013)

Via: Relativity Media

There are a ton of adaptations of the classic play by William Shakespeare. I personally only like two versions. The 1968 version starring Leonard Whiting and Olivia Hussey is the one I watched in middle school and seems to be the truest form. The other version is Romeo + Juliet starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. This version is awesome as it is modern with the Shakespeare language. In 2013, another version came out. This one was not up to par. This isn’t the fault of the lead performers. This film didn’t hit right. It didn’t seem to have any passion about it or the essence of the actual play. This film will be a plague upon your house.

365 Days (2020)

Let me get this straight because this film is awful. You have a film where a person kidnaps another person and for 365 days, hopes they fall in love with them. They also have certain rules but will be aggressive sexually towards them. This is an actual film where Stockholm Syndrome is on full display. This was the stupidest and sickening film that put even the terrible 50 Shades film series to shame. Straight up trash and they made sequels.
